Austin is an Attorney/CTFA®/ATFA with over 20 years of experience in the practice of law. He is a graduate of the Norman A. Wiggins School of Law at Campbell University (J.D.), the Lundy-Fetterman School of Business at Campbell University (M.B.A.), and North Carolina State University’s College of Management (B.S. Business Management and Corporate Finance). In addition to the practice of law, he is also a Certified Trust & Financial Advisor®, as accredited by the American Bankers Association, and an Accredited Trust & Fiduciary Advisor, as accredited by the Trust Education Foundation. From 2014 to 2018 Austin served as compliance counsel for the private wealth division of SunTrust Bank where he advised senior managers and trust officers regarding trusts and closely held business entities.
As an attorney, Austin concentrates his practice in advanced estate planning and asset protection techniques, probate, fiduciary litigation, guardianships, charitable organizations, and corporate and business law focusing on small business representation.

Although he primarily grew up in Raleigh, Austin is a native of Southern Pines. During his off hours, he is a student of genealogy, having traced his family roots back to the 1500’s. He is also an avid outdoorsman and enjoys tinkering on fine British motorcars. He is a member of the British Automobile Touring Society and the Moore County Bar Association Sporting Clays Team.
He has two teenaged sons, is a member of Christ Church Anglican in Southern Pines, and resides in Pinebluff.
